Salad Headed Home after Indian Hollow Tower Garden Harvest
Second graders in Deb Polizzi’s class at Indian Hollow will be headed home with a healthy option for dinner this weekend.
After planting seeds several weeks ago in the school’s new tower garden, the students in Polizzi’s class harvested their items on Friday.
With assistance from principal Brian Simpson and Polizzi, the students filled Ziploc bags with assorted lettuce and arugula.
Next week, the planting begins anew, with Lisa Mariani’s class having its turn.
