FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES

Our Family and Consumer Science program is designed to empower your child with essential life skills that are fundamental to their well-being and success.   Family and Consumer Science (FACS) is a subject area that encompasses a wide range of topics including nutrition, cooking, personal finance, child development, and interpersonal relationships. Our curriculum is aligned with the New York State Standards for FACS, ensuring that your child receives a comprehensive education that meets specific academic benchmarks.

What Your Child Will Learn:

In our FACS program, your child will develop practical skills that are applicable to everyday life. From learning how to prepare ingredients for a meal to understanding the importance of budgeting and financial responsibility, each lesson is designed to equip your child with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive in the modern world.

Why FACS Matters:

At a time when the demands of daily life are constantly evolving, FACS provides a solid foundation for success. By mastering essential life skills, your child will be better prepared to make informed decisions, navigate challenges, and lead a healthy, fulfilling life.

Get Involved:

We encourage you to get involved in your child's FACS education. Whether it's cooking together at home, discussing financial concepts, or exploring topics related to family dynamics, your support and involvement are invaluable to your child's learning journey.
