Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox to Receive Pair of Service Awards

Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox has been a driving force in the reinvention of education in Commack Schools, including introducing real-life learning spaces and the ability for students to test-drive careers while still in high school.
Now, Dr. Cox has been selected to receive a pair of awards.
Dr. Cox will be presented a SCOPE Administrator Service Award. He was chosen for his outstanding service to Commack Schools and will be honored at SCOPE’s 24th annual School District Awards Dinner on March 24 in Holbrook.
Dr. Cox also will be recognized with the 2025 Matinecock Boy Scout Excellence in Education award. That ceremony will be held in Smithtown in November.

Founded in 1964, SCOPE Education Services is a private, not-for-profit organization permanently chartered by the New York State Board of Regents to provide services to school districts in New York State.
Services offered to local school districts include programs for educators, parents and children. SCOPE offerings include professional development, conferences, training, child care, preschool, elementary enrichment courses, outdoor education, summer environmental adventure programs and workshops/speakers bureau for parents and students.
