A handful of Wood Park students, joined by teacher Justine Buonovolonta, made a special delivery to Trader Joe's in Commack on Monday.

The primary students handed back to the supermarket brown paper shopping bags, which they and their classmates had decorated with Earth Day messages.

Trader Joe's shoppers will receive the decorated brown paper bags throughout the month, leading into Earth Day on April 22.

One eager shopper snatched up the first two bags immediately upon their arrival on Monday.

Stop & Shop also will distribute the Wood Park-decorated brown paper bags.
