Allison Schouten is the latest recipient of the Commack Star Award.

Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox surprised Schouten with the presentation at the beginning of a CMS staff meeting in the auditorium after school on Monday.

Schouten oversees PBIS at CMS as its coordinator.

“Allison is the perfect choice for the Commack Star Award because of her exceptional work ethic coupled with her unwavering dedication and her deep and meaningful connection with the learners of Commack Middle School,” Dr. Cox said during the presentation. “Allie radiates optimism, positivity and a genuine kindheartedness that touches everyone she encounters.”
