A three-day weekend could wait for spirited CHS students as they competed in the Battle of the Classes after school on Friday.

The favored seniors took home the title, with the juniors finishing in the runner-up position, then the sophomores and freshmen.

The classes had entered Friday’s showdown having already accrued points for spirit events throughout the school year.

They then went toe-to-toe in the South Gym after school on Friday in events such as tug of war and a dance competition.

The good-natured and mostly sportsmanlike event packed the gym.
