Harvard-bound CHS senior Mehek S. joined top students from throughout Suffolk County on Thursday afternoon at the 31st annual Valedictorians Recognition ceremony at Villa Lombardi's in Holbrook.

The event was sponsored by the Suffolk County School Superintendents Association.

Mehek was joined by her parents as well as superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox, principal Carrie Lipenholtz and research advisor Andrea Beatty at the luncheon.

Mehek posed for one photo with fellow Harvard-bound Suffolk valedictorians Jesus B. of Amityville and Alice C. of Wiliam Floyd.

Mehek will be studying molecular and cellular biology at Harvard.
