COMMACK SCHOOLS

The Commack community is invited to gather on Thursday for a 6:30 p.m. remembrance ceremony.

The 24th annual ceremony remembering those we lost on 9/11 and in its aftermath is hosted at the district’s memorial at the entrance to the Commack High School stadium.

The gathering annually is coordinated by district clerk Debbie Virga.

Members of the CHS varsity football team as well as community members and staff lined the high school’s memorial park as well as the fences alongside Townline Road and Scholar Lane with U.S. flags in the days leading up to the ceremony.
