Sawmill Celebrates Constitution Day with Students Reciting Preamble

The U.S. Constitution was signed on this day in 1787. And Sawmill marked that anniversary from the get-go on Wednesday.
Students representing fifth-grade classes joined principal Michelle Tancredi-Zott in celebrating Constitution Day during the morning announcements.
After reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the selected students in unison said, “We The People,” over the PA system.
From there, the students continued to recite the preamble, each handling a preassigned line.
Sawmill will continue to promote Constitution Day throughout the day on Wednesday with educational activities in classrooms.
