Varsity Boys and Girls Soccer Teams Head to County Finals!

Commack soccer certainly has bragging rights!
The varsity girls and boys soccer teams both qualified for their county championship matches with a doubleader sweep on Friday at CHS’ stadium.
The second-seeded girls defeated Ward Melville, 3-2, in Friday’s semifinal. They will play for the county championship on Tuesday at 10 a.m. against top-seeded Northport in a match hosted at North Babylon High School.
The second-seeded boys defeated Sachem East, 2-1, in their semifinal. They will play for the county championship on Monday at 7 p.m. against top-seeded Brentwood in a match hosted at Islip High School.
The Commack girls tied Northport during the regular season. That also was true for the Commack boys against Brentwood. Both were epic matches, with the boys teams both ranked in the top three in the state at the time of their original meeting.
