Entrepreneurship Class Pens Letters to CEOs; One Company Responds with Skateboard
Dr. Sandra Braun’s entrepreneurship students at CHS practiced communicating effectively by choosing a company they admire and writing a letter to the CEO.
One executive was so impressed by the correspondence he received from ninth grader Liam S., the company reached out to Braun to share that sentiment.
Steven Troullous, the marketing manager for NHS, wrote to Braun: “I wish when I was in high school we had classes in entrepreneurship, because based on his letter, you are teaching him confidence and to go after his dreams. I love it.”
NHS, which operates brands including Santa Cruz Skateboards, sent Liam a couple of sweatshirts.
The company also included a skateboard for Liam.
Established in 1973, NHS’ brands also include Independent Trucks, Creature Skateboards, OJ Wheels, Ricta Wheels, Mob Grip, Krux Trucks, Bullet and Slime Ba.
