COMMACK SCHOOLS

CHS students learned about potential careers serving the nation and related education opportunities during a Military Appreciation and Information Day event in the high school’s art gallery on Wednesday.

Students who signed up had the opportunity to meet representatives from the Army, Navy, Air National Guard, Marines, Coast Guard and U.S. Naval Academy.

In all, 60 students attended the event, which spanned three periods.

A separate visit from the U.S. Military Academy is planned for next week.

School counselor James Del Giudice annually organizes events to connect students with military officials.
