'Shoppers' Flock to Sawmill's Pop-Up Bookstore

A pop-up bookstore at Sawmill proved a big hit on Wednesday.
Principal Michelle Tancredi-Zott collected popular children's books from retiring teachers and through other sources. Then, during lunch periods on Wednesday, the intermediate school students had the chance to select one complimentary book apiece.
Select fifth graders served as bookstore volunteers, restocking the shelves and helping shepherd the shoppers through the selection process.
Multiple passersby exclaimed that it was great to see the shoppers' excitement for reading.
