Who says being full of hot air is a bad thing?

Sawmill fifth graders learned about the physics of hot-air balloons during enrichment.

The students then constructed their own hot air balloons from tissue paper and glue.

And, after some indoor testing and finetuning, the balloons were heated up and launched outdoors on Thursday.

Most remained on the school property, but a few may have caught a good breeze and landed elsewhere in Commack.
