A Trip Down Memory Lane: Sawmill Students Host Nostalgic VIP Tour
Superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox, CHS assistant principal Eric Biagi, and Board of Education student representative Kyla Gruber received a VIP tour of Sawmill Intermediate School on Monday afternoon.
Kyla is continuing her tour of Commack's schools and meeting with students in order to gain information to present at future Board of Education meetings.
Members of the student council, along with Principal Michelle Tancredi Zott and Assistant Principal Stephanie Liptzin, served as the afternoon's tour guides. The students proudly showed off some of Sawmill's top spaces and newest features, making dedicated stops at the Beaver Lounge, the Zen Den, the Innovation Station, and the life skills room.
The visit also featured a nostalgic trip down memory lane for Kyla.
Principal Tancredi Zott surprised the high schooler by pulling out her old yearbook photo from when Kyla attended Sawmill as an intermediate student.
