Sawmill Celebrates Heritage Day
Third graders at Sawmill had the opportunity to show off their work at the school’s Heritage Day on Wednesday.
Parents were able to walk around to desks in the gymnasium to see each student’s “passport book to family heritage” and poster boards or digital presentations that showed off various things such as maps, currency, cultural traditions, food and political leaders.
The event is the culmination of weeks of research done by the students into their family heritage and the cultures associated with those countries.
