Burr Community Comes Together for Unity Day

Burr students and staff came together on Wednesday afternoon for a Unity Walk to celebrate Unity Day, a national initiative dedicated to promoting kindness, acceptance, inclusion, and bullying prevention.

Burr connected this year’s celebration to its schoolwide theme of Everyday Heroes. The event served as a powerful reminder that all students have the power to make a positive difference through simple acts of kindness, standing up for others, and ensuring everyone feels valued and included.

Students and staff were encouraged to wear orange, the official color of Unity Day, as a visible symbol of their shared commitment to standing together against bullying and creating a supportive community where everyone belongs.

Each student received a special orange Unity Day keychain to attach to their backpack. The keychains serve as a daily reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can create a lasting impact across the school community.
