Help Us Support The Victims Of The California Fires
The recent wildfires in California have devastated communities, leaving families without homes, schools, essential resources, and basic needs. Thousands are affected and they need our help now more than ever.
HOW YOU CAN HELP: We are asking for monetary donations to support the victims of the fires. Your contribution will provide critical resources such as food, shelter, medical supplies, and longterm recovery efforts.
You can purchase the attached heart shaped flag of California for a minimum donation of $1.00. Please write your name/family name on the heart, color and decorate any way you like, and return it to your school by February 14, 2025, along with your donation. The hearts will be displayed in each of the schools to show support for California. Donations will be accepted by cash, check or Venmo. There will be a returned check fee of $20 for any returned checks.

Please be reminded that the solo or ensemble music selection performed must be the correct arrangement listed in the July 2022 NYSSMA Manual, Edition 33. Each school music teacher possesses a manual to confirm your child’s music selection. Additionally, there are no photocopies permitted for any performance (you can purchase sheet music from either a store or online). Please visit the NYSSMA WEBSITE for additional information and frequently asked questions.
To register and pay for NYSSMA, please complete all information located in SCHOOLPAY, no later than the dates listed above. Please note there are no refunds for NYSSMA. Before making any changes to your registration, consult your child’s music teacher. Any changes to NYSSMA levels may affect the scheduled time (if the request is accommodated). If your level change is accepted, note that there are no reimbursements to move down a level, and you will be responsible for an additional payment to move up a level.
CMS Carnival
Join us at the 2025 CMS Carnival on Friday, Feb. 7. The event is open to kindergarten through second graders from 6 to 7 p.m., then all grades from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $15 ($12 for Wildcat Card holders) and includes five game-play tickets. Tickets are available during lunch periods Feb. 3-7 as well as through SchoolPay, and then at the door.
