Rolling Hills Students Author Folk Tales
A student reads her adaption of Red Riding Hood to a parent
First graders in Diana Krompier’s class had the opportunity to present their own adaptions of Little Red Riding Hood to parents and special visitors on Friday in the Rolling Hills courtyard.
The students have been learning about folk stories, and how each one contains a moral. The class read 10 different adaptions of Little Red Riding Hood before being tasked to write their own. The class unanimously agreed that their favorites were the ones with happier endings, rather than the scary ones.
Students and adults were encouraged to wear red, and finished off the celebration with their favorite red fruits and vegetables.
