CHS Senior Qualifies for Prestigious Math Honor

CHS senior Edwin J. qualified to participate in the prestigious American Invitational Mathematics Exam.
The AIME is a rigorous competition for students who have demonstrated exceptional mathematical talent.
To qualify, students must score in the top 5 percent of all participants in the American Mathematics Competition. The AMC is a mathematics competition with more than 300,000 students participating from all 50 states and more than 30 countries. It is designed to inspire students and bolster their confidence and passion for mathematics.
“Edwin’s qualification for the AIME is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and exceptional skills in mathematics,” director of mathematics Joanne Fennessy said. “We are incredibly proud of him and his accomplishments.”
